In contrast to conventional plastics, the bioplastic specially developed by LÄSSIG for this product is not made from limited petroleum resources, but from over 85 percent plant-based raw materials, such as grasses like sugar cane. The GEO tableware thus offers a sustainable alternative to disposable plastic or petroleum-based tableware, while saving valuable resources. GEO tableware from LÄSSIG has been certified according to the international standard ASTM D 6866:2020-02 of DIN CERTCO as >85% biobased.
