Animals evoke something special in each of us. A joy that we share with one another. That's why the big family of happy Hoptimists also includes lovely animals. Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the fun Hoptimist movement in the late 60s. The aim was to design a figurine that would constantly remind us of the importance of staying positive and optimistic. Because, although the 60s are often referred to as "the happy 60s," this decade was marked by disturbing events. That’s why the joy radiated by Ehrenreich's design was a welcome presence during a rather turbulent time.
