The celebratory days after passing exams are a memory for life. That's why our cheerful Hoptimist students are a great gift idea. They spread joy and, with their little untamed jumps, remind the student to keep a positive outlook on the future. Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the joyful Hoptimist movement in the late 60s. The aim was to design a figure that would continuously remind us of the importance of staying positive and optimistic. Although the 60s are often referred to as "the happy 60s," this decade was marked by disturbing events. Therefore, the joy spread by Ehrenreich's design was welcome in a rather turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble were the very first Hoptimists created by the designer: a girl in a dress with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a stick on his head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and bring joy around the world.
