Our joyful IQ-Hoptimists are a keepsake for life. That’s why they make a great gift idea. They spread joy and, with their little untamed jumps, they will remind you to keep your optimistic view of the future. Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the joyful Hoptimist movement in the late 60s. The aim was to design a figure that would constantly remind us of the importance of staying positive and optimistic. Although the 60s are often called "the happy 60s", this decade was marked by disturbing events. This is why the joy spread by Ehrenreich's design was welcome during such a turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the very first Hoptimists created by the designer: a girl in a dress with smiling eyes and a thoughtful boy with a stick on his head. Today, the joyful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and spread joy around the world.
