You can express your love in many ways. The Love-Hoptimists offer a wide range of love messages that are sure to bring a smile and invite kisses. Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the joyful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to design a figurine that would constantly remind people of the importance of staying positive and optimistic. Although the 1960s are often referred to as "the happy 60s", this decade was marked by disturbing events. That’s why the joy spread by Ehrenreich's design was a welcome addition during a rather turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the very first Hoptimists created by the designer: A girl in a dress with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a stick on his head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and spread joy around the world.
