Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the joyful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The aim was to design a figurine that would constantly remind us of the importance of staying positive and optimistic. Although the 1960s are often referred to as "the happy 60s," this decade was marked by disturbing events. That’s why the joy spread by Ehrenreich’s design was welcome during a rather turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the very first Hoptimists created by the designer: a girl dressed in a dress with smiling eyes and a thoughtful boy with a stick on his head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history, bringing joy to the world. The figurines are available in four different sizes and a wide selection of colours that spread optimism, good vibes, and joy. There is a Hoptimist for every occasion and every person.
