Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the cheerful Hoptimist movement in the late 60s. The aim was to design a figurine that would constantly remind people of the importance of staying positive and optimistic. For, although the 60s are often referred to as "the happy 60s," this decade was marked by disturbing events. That’s why the joy spread by Ehrenreich’s design was much welcome in a rather turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the very first Hoptimists that the designer created: a girl dressed in a dress with smiling eyes and a attentive boy with a stick on his head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and bring joy all over the world. The figurines are available in four different sizes and a wide selection of colors that spread optimism, good spirits, and joy. There is a Hoptimist for every occasion and every person.
