How to play Enigmas - Marine World?

The cards are placed in a pile at the centre of the table, forming the draw pile. The board is placed inside the open game box.

Each player takes turns drawing a card and looking at the hidden side without showing it to the others. They announce the theme of the card (e.g. fish and reptiles, invertebrates, man and the sea…) and then start to state the clues one after the other.

The other players try to guess the word as quickly as possible. As soon as one of them thinks they have found it, they say it out loud.

Did the player correctly guess the word on a light blue card? They win the card!

Did the player guess the word on a dark blue card? They then need to show their skills and aim for one of the areas on the board using the wooden token. They then apply the effect of the area reached by the token (e.g. spell the word they just found, name the 3 previous cards played…) and may win (or not) more Enigmas - Marine World cards!
