Dragon Ball Z picks up five years after Son Goku's wedding. Radditz, a mysterious space warrior, arrives on Earth to find Goku, who then learns that he comes from a planet of warriors of which only four survivors remain. The storyline is based on a succession of increasingly strong opponents, but there is also frequently a quest or travel context that lends interest to more than just the duels.
The series has become a phenomenon mondial, generating massive merchandising sales and being considered one of the most influential anime franchises of all time.
Chiho Kiyooka (YU YU HAKUSHO), Takeshi Ike (TRANSFORMERS) and Keiju Ishikawa (GODZILLA) collaborated on the iconic music for the animated series.
