Tsubasa is an 11-year-old boy who lives only for football. After moving to a new town, he catches sight of two rival schools fighting over the municipal football pitch. Impressed by Wakabayashi, who claims to be the best goalkeeper in Japan, he dramatically challenges him to a duel. It is then that Tsubasa is noticed by Roberto, a former member of the Brazilian team, who will become his personal coach to turn this young genius into the greatest Japanese football player!

Olive et tom (Captain Tsubasa) is one of the animated series that revolutionised French TV. Aired on channel 5 in the 80s, the series had a remake in 2018-2019, broadcast on TF1.
