Initially known as Vans #36, the Old Skool model was born in 1977, featuring a unique novelty: a doodle pattern drawn by founder Paul Van Doren, originally called the "jazz stripe". Today, the famous Sidestripe has become an essential and instantly recognisable emblem of the Vans brand.
